BTU has pioneered another industry first with the ZIS (zero inductive switching) fresh-air-door actuator drive. It is a given, that at some point with conventional controls, storages will have actuator door troubles due to arcing contacts. The SDX door control developed by BTU is a ZIS soft-start-door control. This new technology allows for movements as small as 1/16th inch. All start/stop, and forward/reverse transitions are done with zero inductive switching. This results in no arcing of relay contacts, no inductive kicks from the drives, providing longer motor life, extremely tight temperature control and far more reliability.
Up to four SDX cards can be integrated into one system to control up to eight fresh air doors. Fresh air doors can be individually configured as stage 1, 2, 3, or 4.
The SDX door control is the first in the industry to provide an accurate overall door position. Today’s Farm Management needs accurate fresh air intake to manage and compare storages.
